Week 15 NFL Betting Preview

Six bets I’m making this NFL weekend.

The fantasy football playoffs are here and for those that didn’t start Cooper Kupp this week, it’s a happy time of year.

Outside of fantasy, there is plenty at stake with some key games being played between playoff hopefuls as the regular season enters the final few weeks.

After going 4/6 last weekend, I’m feeling pretty good about this week’s bets, covering all three Sunday windows. As always, I’ve added a same-game parlay or boosted stats option to all the bets, for those that like to shoot for the bigger odds.

NFL Bets for Week 15

Cowboys @ Panthers

Two teams that appear to have turned a corner in recent weeks, this game is a lot more exciting than it would have been just a month ago.

Cooper Rush has settled in as a serviceable, if unspectacular, backup quarterback for Dallas, whilst Bryce Young looks more like the real deal each week for Carolina.

Things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows for either side though, and it’s the two leaky run defenses that I’m focusing on this week.

The Panthers (5.7) and Cowboys (5.2) are 32nd and 30th respectively against the run over their last five games, in rushing yards allowed per attempt. Rico Dowdle is coming off the back of two straight games of 100+ rushing yards and faces the worst run defense in the league.

Chuba Hubbard, meanwhile, has racked up nine touchdowns in 13 games this year and will look to add to that against a Dallas team that has allowed eight rushing touchdowns in their last five games.

Rico Dowdle over 81.5 rushing yards 20/21

Add: Chuba Hubbard 1+ touchdown 11/5

Ravens @ Giants

Early Window

The Giants welcome an intimidating Ravens side this weekend in a game that many expect to get out of hand early.

Whilst the safe money is on Baltimore, it’s two Giants player props that I’m backing in this one.

In his last three games, Tyrone Tracy has recorded 28, 33 and 38 receiving yards, as the Giants look to make use of his background at receiver.

Baltimore have been good against the run but running backs have had success in the passing game against them. Tracy was targeted 10 times by Drew Lock last weekend.

Lock is sidelined this weekend though, so Tommy DeVito is back for New York. There’s not a whole lot to go on for DeVito, who has only recorded only one start this year.

What we do know though, is that DeVito has wheels. Including last season, when playing 90% of snaps or more, DeVito has rushed for 32+ yards in four of six NFL games.

If the Ravens do get ahead early, the pass rush will come for the New Jersey local, giving him plenty of scramble opportunities.

Tyrone Tracy over 18.5 receiving yards 10/11

Add: Tommy DeVito over 22.5 rushing yards 5/2

Bills @ Lions

Late Window

The game of the week, on paper, is the potential Super Bowl match-up between Buffalo and Detroit.

There is talent all over the field for both sides in this one, but I’m focusing on Detroit’s unstoppable running back duo. To start with, Jahmyr Gibbs has topped this week’s rushing prop in six of his last eight games.

The Bills have struggled against the run of late, with a player rushing for 78+ yards against them in three of their last four, Jordan Mason hitting that number in just 13 carries.

Over their last five, the Bills are allowing the seventh-most rushing yards/attempt in the league (tied).

If you want to parlay this bet, David Montgomery has 12 touchdowns in 13 games this year, including five in his last five, and eight in his last nine.

Jahmyr Gibbs over 68.5 rushing yards 10/11

Add: David Montgomery 1+ touchdown 9/5

Colts @ Broncos

Late Window

I’ve included Jaleel McLaughlin in pretty much everything I’ve written over the last two weeks and if he disappoints this weekend, I’ll humbly accept that I was wrong.

Nobody seems to be talking about his 14 carries for 84 yards in the Broncos‘ last game, and Vegas doesn’t seem moved by it either.

Audric Estime randomly saw 14 carries in week 10 but has seen just 12 opportunities in three games since. The difference though, is that McLaughlin made the most of his opportunity and has given Sean Payton no reason to stop looking his way.

This week, McLaughlin faces an Indianapolis defense that has struggled all year. The Colts have recorded the most missed tackles in the league this season, and have allowed the fifth-most rushing yards/attempt over their last five.

They say if it seems too good to be true then it probably is, but I just can’t wrap my head around this rushing prop.

Packers @ Seahawks

Sunday Night Football

Sunday Night Football this week features a big NFC match-up between two playoff hopefuls.

Whilst it would be a solid bet that we’ll see both the Packers and the Seahawks in the playoffs come Wildcard Weekend, neither team can afford to slip too far in the closing weeks.

Despite Zach Charbonnet‘s outstanding game last week, the Packers have been solid against run in recent weeks and the game script could veer in any direction on Sunday night.

I’ve decided to back the most consistent factor on either side recently. Josh Jacobs‘ rushing yards totals have been up and down, but he has found the end-zone at an astonishing rate since the team’s bye.

Jacobs has eight touchdowns in his last four games, so that feels like the most solid bet on the board. If you want to parlay that, I initially looked at Christian Watson‘s receiving yards prop (44.5). Watson has topped that number comfortably in three of his last four and dropped a deep touchdown pass against the 49ers in the lone miss.

In the end though, I went for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has topped this week’s receiving yards total in six straight games. Six straight is hard to argue with, and with Romeo Doubs back for Green Bay, I couldn’t justify Watson over JSN.

Josh Jacobs 1+ touchdown 8/13

Add: Jaxon Smith-Njigba over 65.5 receiving yards 11/5

“Big Bet” – Early Window

This week’s big bet is essentially just an extension of the Rico Dowdle bet, so if you didn’t like that one, you can probably consider this the end of the article.

CeeDee Lamb caught six of seven targets for 93 yards on Monday Night Football, in an agonizing loss to the Bengals. Whilst not the top-tier offense that Cincinnati has, Bryce Young has proven in recent weeks that he can push the score in any match-up.

Both teams should be able to enjoy success on offense in this game, as two struggling run defenses open both teams up to the passing game. Still the main man in Dallas, I’m backing Lamb to make the most of this, and Adam Thielen to do the same.

Thielen has caught 17 of 21 targets for 201 yards and a score over his last two games, and Dallas don’t look like they’ll slow that down at all.

In their last eight games, the Cowboys have allowed 15 different players to pick up over 52.5 receiving yards, which is all Thielen will need to hit his prop this week.

Rico Dowdle over 81.5 rushing yards, Adam Thielen over 52.5 receiving yards, CeeDee Lamb over 63.5 receiving yards, CeeDee Lamb and Chuba Hubbard 1+ touchdown each 16/1

That’s me done for the week, time to get some sleep before a massive Sunday of sport. It’s the Manchester derby in the Premier League later, followed by what will hopefully be an awesome day of NFL action.

Best of luck to everyone with something to play for in fantasy this week, and to anyone that has some bets on. If you’ve enjoyed this article, you can subscribe for email notifications, or follow me on socials.
