The bets I’m making today.

After going landing six of eight bets in yesterday’s games, we’re back for Sunday’s divisional round match-ups.
The Eagles host the Rams after the both sides disposed of NFC North sides last week. The winner will have a home game against Washington next weekend, after the Commanders produced a historic upset last night in Detroit.
I’ll write a full recap article after all the games are done, rather than go into details now, but what a game!
In the AFC, the two MVP candidates round out the weekend in Buffalo, when the Ravens take on the Bills. Personally, I think it would be a travesty if Josh Allen doesn’t win the MVP this year. Not only did he lead Buffalo to a better record, but he came up big for his team in the big moments.
The fourth-down rushing touchdown against the Chiefs was iconic, as was his heroic performance in the win over Detroit. He put the team on his back against both the AFC and NFC favorites and produced when it mattered.
I’ll perhaps do a full article on that at a later date, but wanted to get my thoughts down before the game, for the sake of transparency.
Anyway, here are my bets for today’s games.
Sunday’s Divisional Round Player Bets
Rams @ Eagles
3pm ET Spread: Eagles -7

I’ve left it quite late in the day, so I’ll be quick with my reasoning today.
Before missing the last two games of the regular season, Jalen Hurts rushed for 40+ yards in three-straight. He did that despite playing just 16% of snaps in week 16 against Washington.
He only managed 36 last week, but will no-doubt be forced to scramble a bit more this weekend against a stellar Rams pass-rush. Even Sam Darnold ran for 19 yards last week and he hadn’t topped 10 yards since week 13.
The two tight ends are also on my radar this week. Dallas Goedert missed some time late in the regular season, but has returned with back-to-back games with over 45 receiving yards (55,47).
Tyler Higbee has also emerged as Matthew Stafford’s favorite tight end in recent weeks, catching 10 of 12 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown over his last two.
Jalen Hurts over 39.5 rushing yards 10/11
Dallas Goedert over 36.5 receiving yards 20/23
Tyler Higbee over 27.5 receiving yards 10/11
Ravens @ Bills
6.30pm ET Spread: Ravens -1

On a cold January night in Buffalo, I’m backing the running backs to feature heavily.
James Cook rushed for 120 yards against Denver last week, but his recent yardage totals have been a bit boom/bust. When you look closer though, Cook has totaled 80+ rushing yards in six of his last seven games with over ten carries.
There’s no way he sees less work than usual in tonight’s conditions. Likewise, Derrick Henry should be center stage for Baltimore this evening. Eyes will undoubtedly be on both quarterbacks, but nobody wants to have to tackle Henry, especially in the winter.
Henry carried 26 times last week against Pittsburgh and has 25+ carries in two of his last four and 20+ carries in four-straight.
James Cook over 55.5 rushing yards 10/11
James Cook 70+ rushing yards 19/10
James Cook 80+ rushing yards 3/1
Derrick Henry over 19.5 rush attempts 4/5
Derrick Henry 25+ rush attempts 16/5
Divisional Round “Big Bet”
This week’s “Big Bet” continues on from the rushing-heavy bets from the Ravens-Bills game. I’ve added in some rushing yards for both quarterbacks, though lower than their respective props, whilst adding a touchdown for both running backs.
Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen 40+ rushing yards, Derrick Henry and James Cook 80+ rushing yards, Henry and Cook 1+ touchdown 22/1
That’s me done, best of luck with any bets that you’ve put on yourselves this weekend. If you are betting, please do so responsibly.
